Fiziksel açıklama Fragment of a clavus (shoulder-band) from a tunic, tapestry-woven in dyed wools and undyed linen thread on linen warps. The dye colours include beige, red, pink, orange, yellow, light green, green, light blue, blue, dark blue and brown. The clavus has been cut away at its top, but preserves its bottom with a roundel. The design is woven on a red ground. At the centre of the clavus is a richly dressed and haloed human figure, with two small crosses by the head and feet, and what appears to be a pseudo-inscription. This panel is surrounded above and below by a diaper pattern whose compartments enclose either a bird, quadruped animal, or floral device. The diapers are outlined in a white curved pattern with rosettes at the intersections. The roundel at the base of the clavus contains another quadruped. A colourful polychrome stepped border frames the whole clavus and connects to the roundel.
