Malzemeler ve teknikler Knotted woollen pile, with cotton Wool Cotton
Fiziksel açıklama Caucasian carpet of wool with stepped medallions in dark blue, filled with coloured, stylised rosettes, linked in staggered rows on a wine-red ground. Border of naturalistic flower bunches on black background. Guard stripes have angular meanders of a mid-blue ground. Warp: white wool; Z2S; 16-17 threads per inch (62-67 per dm). Weft: white cotton; Z3S; 2 shoots of weft after each row of knots; 8-9 knots per inch (34-38 per dm). Pile: wool; 17 colours: dark red, orange, light orange, dark yellow, light yellow, dark green, green, light green, dark blue, blue, light blue, light purple, pink, brown, light brown, black, white; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; average of 70 knots per sq. inch (average of 1163 per sq. dm). Side finish: 3 cords overcast with shades of brown wool. End finish: Both: 3 cm plain weave with white cotton turned and stitched in place. Design: Field: dark blue ground filled with multi-coloured rosettes and geometric motifs; these lie beneath a vertical broad dark red band outlined in blue which extends towards the sides five times. Within each of these crosses is a serrated dark blue medallion, also with rosettes, that extends sideways and lengthways to link the five together. Main border: black ground with red or pink fruit-like blossoms and leaves. Inner and outer borders: blue ground with angular floral meander.
