The two marble panels in the Museo Arqueológico y Etnológico in Granada (inv. nos. CE2108 and 2109) together contain the following quote from Qur'an 48:1-5: "We have granted thee a manifest Victory. That God may forgive thee they faults of the past and those to follow. [...] God is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom. Plaster of Paris Plaster Cast

This is a plaster cast of one of the marble inscriptions that originally decorated the facade of the Madrasa Yusufiya, a Nasrid royal madrasa built in Granada in 1349. The original marble panel is now in the Museo Arqueológico y Etnológico in Granada (inv. CE2109), together with a second marble panel (inv. CE2108) which sits immediately above this panel. The original inscription was enclosed within a polylobed arch supported by flanking columns, one of which can be seen at the edges of this plaster cast. Another panel associated with this group but probably not contiguous contains the foundation text for the madrasa by the Nasrid Sultan Yusuf I (r. 1333-54) and says that "It was finished in the month of muharram of the year 750", equivalent to 22 March to 20 April 1349.
