Red satin ground [red warp and white weft] with a rigid, formal pattern based on an 8-pointed silver-gilt frame from which emerges: [1] a stem bearing a small artichoke motif in silver and silver-gilt with pink, black, white, light blue and blue, and two curling serrated leaf formations also with coloured silk details. A small Chinese cloud motif marks the junction of stem and frame. A small 5-petalled rosette in white, light blue and blue marks the junction of stem and frame. In the centre of the frame is a composite stylised flower head and 4 pomegranates and 4 thin leaves with coloured silk details. The border is white satin with silver-gilt stem meander carrying leaves and flower heads alternately in shades of blue or pink. All the motifs are outlined with 2S white and black silk cord.
