ملاحظات
Decorative chokers, like this, were part of traditional jewellery throughout the territories of the former Ottoman Empire, and can be found in North Africa and the Levant, as well as Turkey and the Balkans. The flexible elements were sometimes linked together and sometimes threaded on a velvet ribbon, as here. Pieces like this could be worn as a choker round the neck or across the forehead.

Fiziksel açıklama
Strip of black velvet ribbon with 15 hollow silver-gilt slides. 14 of the slides are S-shaped, and the 15th, central, slide is shuttle-shaped. Each of the 14 slides is decorated with applied coil rings, and has a pendant of a matching drop ending in an open filigree rosette. The pendant of the central slide is different from the others and slightly larger.
