| ملاحظات | In Iran and the neighbouring lands of Iraq and central Asia, brick architecture has always predominated. Fired bricks with flat, carved or moulded ends were glazed for decorative effect, or glazed tiles were used as overall cladding. After 1100, great virtuosity in technique and design developed. Ceramic panels carved through with interlaced arabesque patterns were used as window screens, allowing air to circulate. |
