Malzemeler ve teknikler Woollen knotted pile, with cotton Cotton Wool Weaving
Fiziksel açıklama Woollen carpet with a scene of a pond with ducks, birds, deer and tall flowering trees. The predominant colours are pinks, blues and browns on a fawn ground. Warp: white cotton; (Z4S) 2Z; 34-38 knots per inch (136-144 per dm); depressed. Weft: white, (Z4S) 2Z; and blue cotton, Z4S; 2 shoots, sometimes 3 after each row of knots and apparently first a shoot of white and then blue; 14-16 knots per inch (58-60 per dm). Pile: wool; 18 colours: dark red, orange, light orange, yellow, dark green, green, light green, very light green, dark blue, blue, light blue, pink, 2 shades of brown, light brown, very light brown, black, white; asymmetrical knot, open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 238-304 knots per sq. inch (3944-4320 per sq. dm). Side finish: one cord oversewn with red wool. End finish: Lower: warp threads unpicked to form later fringe. Upper: 1 cm plainweave with one row of pink and yellow weft twining. Design: Field: light green ground. Scene of pond with ducks and deer drinking surrounded by tall flowering trees where birds perch. A pair of narrow spandrels at the upper end are outlined in red. Main border: pink ground with flowers, shrubs and birds. Inner and outer borders: black and dark blue ground with floral meander. From 65 cm above the lower end the guard stripe changes from reciprocal triangles in white and red or diamonds on a white ground. At this point there are also changes in the use of colour and the precision of the outlines. The top guard stripes are reciprocal triangles.
