Malzemeler ve teknikler Carpet formed from a saddle bag, wool. Wool
Fiziksel açıklama tent bag face WARP: light grey wool; Z2S; 24 threads per inch (approx. 94 per dm counted as 47 per 5 cm.) WEFT: light brown wool; Z spun, unplied, 2 parallel threads per shoot; 1 shoot after each row of knots; 25 knots per inch (approx. 106 per dm counted as 53 per 5 cms). PILE: wool; 5 colours: red, light red, dark blue, brown, white; asymmetrical knot open to the right and tied around 2 threads. 300 knots per sq. inch (approx. 4982 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: one cord oversewn with red wool; short length on both sides of chevron-effect oversewing in red and green. END FINISH: Lower 2.5 cm. plain weave with a narrow band of red woollen weft followed by light grey; turned and stitched in place. Upper: remains of multi-coloured knots tied over 4 threads to form a fringe. DESIGN: dark red ground with two bands each of three identical guls, halved vertically and outlined in blue. The central polygon is dark red, flecked with white; the outer quarters are paired diagonally in red and white. In rows between the guls is a secondary motif of a cross and an X with white hooks on a vertical stem. Main border: eight petalled red and dark red or dark red and blue flower on blue and white ground alternating with double-hooked dark red, dark blue and white. Apron: band of dark red pile beyond the borders, at the bottom, stippled by two bands of single knots in dark blue. Catalogue date: 10.8.94
