Fragment of plain woven undyed linen with two identical, thick tapestry bands in purple-brown coloured wool, bordered on either side by a wavy stem with vine leaves. Details on the plant stems are picked out with flying thread brocading in undyed linen thread. Plain weave: Linen warp (S-spun, 52/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 18/cm) Tapestry weave: Linen warp (S-spun) Wool weft (Z-spun) Linen weft (S-spun)
