Fiziksel açıklama
woven silk and metal thread, satin ground with twill binding. Two widths, selvedge to selvedge, joined together; one is numbered 37-1889 and the other is numbered 37A-1889. Appears to be an incomplete lower border featuring a repeating pattern of birds, animals and botehs. There are four types of birds, passant and rampant lions and long-eared dogs [?] all woven in gold metal thread outlined in red. Along the bottom is a border edged in red containing connecting large and small rosettes in metal thread with red centres. The lowest edge indicates the start or end of a loom piece. The selvedge has two white cotton cords. Warp: black silk, Z twist; binding warp: red silk, indeterminable twist. Weft: black silk, red silk both indeterminable twist. Metal thread: silver strip open S-wound around yellow silk, indeterminable twist.
