ملاحظات
This earring, described as modern Turkish when it was acquired in 1867, is not a typical part of Turkish traditional costume. It may have been made for urban use, or as a souvenir for visitors, demonstrating the best characteristics of Turkish art. The circular wire is characteristic of Balkan earrings. It was bought for 16 shillings and 2 pence at the International Exhibition, Paris, 1867.

Fiziksel açıklama
Silver-gilt filigree earring with turquoise, coral and pearls. The earring consists of a circular wire, with a pendant hanging from a loop on its lower edge. The main part of the pendant is a pyramid, open at the base, with a pearl hanging from the pointed end of each side. A coral bead in a filigree mount hangs from a loop inside the pyramid. The pyramid is attached to the wire of the earring by a link with a small turquoise in a closed setting on its front.
