Fiziksel açıklama
Caucasian carpet, slit tapestry. WARP: brown and brown/white wool; Z3S; 16-21 threads per inch (69-74 per dm). WEFT: wool; Z2S; 10 colours: red, yellow, very dark blue, dark blue, blue, light blue, pink, dark brown, brown, white; 46-52 threads per inch (197 per dm). SIDE FINISH: one cord with returned weft END FINISH: missing. DESIGN: Field: a red ground with 5 bands of large, regular polygons, with 2 blue and 1 white, or 1 blue and 2 white per band, each containing a central lozenge and within it a cross on a vertical horned bar. Hooked tendrils come from the lozenge. Small crosses are in the field of the polygons in the top two bands. The secondary bands begin with serrated rectangles; the second band has a large square with a hooked diamond and several other small geometric motifs; the other bands have the square motif repeated evenly across the width. On both sides of the field is a row of small geometric motifs. Border: white ground with a dark brown and red zigzag line with horizontal bars across the points. This border has a toothed edge as have almost all the vertical and diagonal lines throughout this carpet.
