| ملاحظات | Zeuxippus Ware takes its name from the Baths of Zeuxippus in Constantinople where it was first identified. The are lead glazed earthenwares of significantly high-quality with sophisticated decoration. The wares are finely incised and some (Class II) have been enhanced with touches of brown. However, it and its derivatives have been found throughout the Mediterranean. This fragment was found in excavations at Fustat, Egypt, given to the Museum in 1921. |
