Arabic manuscript on paper, 383 leaves, plus 1 fly-leaf, 12 lines to the page written in naskh in black ink with interlinear translation in red nasta'liq, ruled in gold, blue and black, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings in gold thuluth on gold and polychrome illuminated panels, juz' divisions marked by gold and polychrome illuminated marginal devices, marginal commentaries in black nasta'liq in clouds reserved against a gold ground, f.1b and f.2a with prayers within gold illuminated lobed cartouches on a floral ground, f.2b and f.3a fully illuminated in gold and polychrome, surah al-Falaq and surah al-Nas within illuminated panels on a gold floral ground, the following bifolio with prayers within illuminated lobed cartouches, colophon within illuminated panel, signed and dated, in floral lacquer binding, lacquer doublures
