The second work has 61 chapters. Followed by two other treatieses on diseases of the head and on fevers and poisons (pages 108-136) consists of 59 chapters. Endpapers contain annotations, including notes on a pastedown label by Giorgio Levi della Vida. Contains some drawings. Author's name given on p.3 as Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Kaḥḥāl, al-maʻrūf bi-Bāvard. Includes catchwords; rubrication for chapter numbers and headings. Pagination added in pencil by previous owner. Laid European paper, divided in 79 chapters. Title from colophon on page 105. Clear naskh hand, 25 lines per page. Manuscript. Full bound brown leather, gilt medallion, pendants and borders, wormed, damaged, stab sewn.
