Manuscript codex. Title of first work from introduction (f. 3r). Title of second work supplied by cataloger. Layout: Written in 14-16 long lines. Script: Written in taʻlīq and nastaʻlīq; pointed. Decoration: Rubrications in red; some diagrams in red. Origin: The first item is undated, possibly produced in the 17th century, copied by Ghulām Muḥyī al-Dīn walad Muḥammad Akram (f. 48r). The second work is dated Jumādá al-Ūlá 1228 A.H. Shelfmark: MS Or 23. Also available as a digital facsimile. Gift of David Eugene Smith, 1931-1934. Composite manuscript with two works. The first on ritual practice with chapters on cleanliness, prayers, fasting, alms giving, pilgrimage, marriage, legal guardianship, and inheritance; the second text an astronomical treatise by ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad al-Qūshjī.
