ملاحظات	Recto: Letter addressed to a woman (indicated by the faminine form of the verbs). The sender is probably also a woman. Text opens after basmala: جعلت فداك و اطال الله بقاك واتم نعمته عليك وزاد فى احسانه. Main body of text opens on a new line. The writer reqeusts the addressee to send a box to put clothes in since the writer fears that her clothes may be stolen. The writer will purchase a lock: احب ابقاك الله توجهين الى باصندوق حتى اجعلفيه ثيابى وافعله علوة فانى اخاف ان يسرق ... ثيابى وانا احب ان توجهين حتى اشترى قفل واقفله. Note the sriptio plena of the short vowel of the preposition in باصندوق, which corresponds to bi-ṣundūq in Classical Arabic.
