A work of taxonomy, Netāyicü'l-fünūn classifies and describes branches of knowledge including history, philosophy, astronomical theory, theology, jurisprudence, juridical disagreement, Quranic exegesis, Sufism, dream interpretation, enchantment and incantations, medicine, agriculture, astronomy, and divination and ornithomancy. Several minhu records (marginal annotations of the author) in Ottoman Turkish, Arabic, and Persian.
