Notlar Ms. codex., Title from opening matter on p.9., Collation: i, 15 V(150) ; exclusively quinions ; catchwords present ; foliation in black ink, Hindu-Arabic numerals ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization (includes inserts and flyleaves)., Layout: Written in 21 lines per page ; frame-ruled., Script: Nastaʻlīq (talik) ; compact, elegant Turkish hand ; virtually serifless with marked tilt to the right, only slight effect of words descending to baseline, exaggerated elongation of horizontal strokes, pointing in strokes rather than distinct dots, free assimilation of letters (e.g. point of final nūn assimilated with bowl, etc.)., Decoration: Keywords and abbreviation symbols (mainly two teeth stroke) rubricated ; accents in red highlight other keywords ; textual dividers in the form of red inverted commas., Support: non-European (likely Arab) laid paper with 8 laid lines per cm. (20 in 25 mm., vertical), chain lines (horizontal) grouped in threes with 12-14 mm. between chains and 43-45 mm. between groups ; fairly sturdy and dense, well-burnished to glossy., Binding: Pasteboards covered in marbled paper (in salmon, blue, yellow, etc.) with red leather over spine, fore edge flap, and edges/turn-ins ; Type II binding (with flap) ; board linings in untinted laid European paper (watermark partially visible) ; sewn in dull pink thread, two stations, broken in many quires ; endbands virtually gone with trace of core at head ; overall in poor condition with flap fully detached, severe abrasion and staining (much of original marbling now lost), lifting and losses of leather, quires detaching from spine, etc., Former shelfmark: From interior of upper cover and spine label "IL 69" (likely supplied by Yahuda, see acquisitions slip)., Accompanying materials: a.
