Notlar	The photograph was published in Yeni Gün newspaper on 15 March 1931 along with an article entitled, ‘Burglar injures a housemaid!’ (Hizmetçiyi Yararlıyan hırsız!). The article reported on an incident in which a housemaid came across a burglar who attacked her. - Nine children are queued up on the marble staircase in the atrium of Tayyare Apartmanları . All are facing the camera, except the teenage boy at the lower end of the queue and the girl at the upper end. The teenage boy, wearing a cap and a shirt and tie under a jacket, is gesticulating and looking upwards, while the girl at the upper end has turned her head in the opposite direction. The staircase connects two of the upper floors via an elaborate landing, which forms the focus of the image.
