Notlar The cars are collecting children who will participate in the official parade on the occasion of Çocuk bayramı . The children are most likely in the care of the Society for the Protection of Children (‘Çocuk Esirgeme Kurumu’). The lettering 'C.H.P.' on top of the building indicates that is was simultaneously being used as the Istanbul head office of the Republican Peoples’ Party (Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi) and the Red Crescent. The Akaretler Sıraevleri extends to the left side of the building. - Cars parked in front of a building identified as the Istanbul headquarters of the Turkish Red Crescent (‘Türkiye Hilal-i Ahmer Cemiyeti’) by a plate fixed above the main entrance in Süleyman Seba Street. A large sign on the roof with the lettering 'C.H.P.' indicates a link to the Republican Peoples’ Party (Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi). The building is richly decorated with bunting and Turkish flags at the windows. Four cars are parked in a row along the street in front of the building. Two of them are open convertibles and are packed with children and several adult men. The last car in the row, of which only the front is visible, features a decoration made of twigs. A boy in trousers that are far too large for him and with a large basket in his hands is passing between the third and the fourth car. On the opposite side of the street, a girl is moving towards the cars, seemingly walking away from an official in the lower left corner of the picture, who is taking notes. Behind the officer, three women are standing on the sidewalk. Two of them are looking over their shoulders to the right. The third woman is looking at the cars.
