Notlar Explicit: "سهو وعصيانه افندم بقمه فرقتك آتش ايله يقمه." Ms. codex. Title from inscription on 'title page' (p.1). Collation: ii, 5 V(50), IV (58), ii; quinions followed by a quaternion; catchwords present; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization. Layout: Written in 15 lines per page with written area mainly divided to two columns; frame-ruled. Script: Naskh; elegant Ottoman hand; seriffed with right-sloping head-serifs on most ascenders (even occasional free-standing alif), effect of tilt to the left, curvilinear descenders, mainly open counters, pointing in conjoined dots, fully vocalized. Decoration: Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān / sarlawḥ) at opening on p.2 consisting of gold rectangular piece surmounted by scalloped dome filled with floral vegetal decoration in white, pink, light blue, and lavender with red accents on a gold ground, entire piece set in a well of red with white accents and surmounted by vertical stalks (tīgh) in blue ; written area (and divisions within) surrounded by gold frame defined by black fillets ; section headings chrysographed. Support: European laid paper with 11 laid lines per cm. Binding: Pasteboards covered in maroon leather; Type II binding (with flap), likely two-piece binding (seam of overlapping flanges visible at spine); pastedowns and flyleaves in pink surface-dyed, textured wove paper (embossed in vegetal pattern of large leaves, flowers and vines); upper and lower covers carry tooled and gold-painted border and outline of central panel; sewn in golden yellow thread, two stations; worked chevron endbands in magenta and dark blue, good condition; overall in good condition with minor abrasion, etc. Former shelfmark: "478 T. De M. [i.e. Tammaro De Marinis]" inscribed in pencil on verso of front flyleaf. Origin: Lacks dated colophon; statement on 'title page' identifying work and author appears to be dated 1160 [1747] and provides a rough terminus ante quem; paper, decoration, etc. also certainly suggest 18th century. Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl. Ms. 411. Incipit: "حمد اول خالقه كه يكتادر حكمنده عقلا شيدادر ..."
