Notlar Manuscript. Calligraphy, title devised by cataloger, black ink, Inscription of a Ḥadīth. 6 lines varies per sheet, Thuluth and Naskh script, vocalized, black ink. Comprising an upper and lower lines in large and bold black Thuluth script, remaining lines are in Naskh. The first line reads : "O thou whose bounty is endless, be gracious in what thou vouchsafest to us." Calligrapher's name from the colophon. on the left side of the text. The calligrapher was the pupil of Darwish 'Alī and was the first to introduce this style of writing into Egypt from Constantinople. Incipit : ىا من لطىف لم ىذل الطف بنا فىما نزل. Explicit : و ان کرهتموهم و لا تعذبو خلق الله.
