Notlar Ms. fragment., Title supplied by cataloguer., Incipit: [64.2.1 following 12 lines of Coptic text] "التفسير عربي يا من في اليوم السادس والساعة السادسة سمرت على الصليب منجل [من أجل] الخطية خطايانا الذي تجرأ عليها ادم في الفردوس خزق العهده المكتوب فيها خطايانا" [كذا], Collation: Isolated three folios ; catchwords appearing center of lower margin just below final line., Layout: Written in 13 to 17 lines per page., Script: Naskh ; two hands ; opening two folios [64.2.1 and 67.1.74] in a large, clear Egyptian hand adhering closely to baseline, mainly serifless with occasional left-sloping serifs on ascenders, somewhat casually pointed with pointing in distinct, generously spaced dots, tāʼ marbūṭah and dhāl almost always unpointed, alif maqṣūrah pointed as yāʼ and occasionally mardūdah, large open counters for ṣād, ṭāʼand similar as well as medial hāʼ (mulawwazah with large, rounded loops) and final hāʼ -- others closed, foot of lām elongated and only slightly curved, rāʼ / zāy often dramatically curved to join letter following (mudghamah), descender of wāw more abbreviated with only slight curve, ihmāl signs over sīn, kāf mashqūqah preferred, with occasionally shaqq on even final kāf, but also occasional kāf mabsūṭah, point of final or free-standing nūn often floating above tall, narrow bowl though occasionally broadened to fill the end of a line ; third folio [67.1.73] in an Egyptian hand with most of the same features but written in a heavier line, mainly serifless with subtle left-sloping serifs on occasional ascenders, and -- most distinctively -- thāʼ often pointed as tāʼ ; Coptic text written in a distinctive hand., Decoration: Textual dividers in the form of red dots ; overlining, highlighting of portions of words (Arabic) and initials (Coptic), cross-like element of horizontal line with dot above and below -- all in red ink., Support: Hand laid watermarked paper (perhaps Italian) of two types ; folios 64.2.1 and 67.1.73 with 10 laid lines per cm (vertical), chain lines (horizontal) spaced roughly 22 mm apart, crown watermark visible in gutter, presumably from crown-star-crescent (Mošin and Grozdanovic-Pajié Type VIII) with possible initial below ; folio 67.1.74 virtually identical but without watermark visible ; all lightly burnished, various edge tears and creases, pest damage and tide lines., Former shelfmark: Kelsey 64.2.1, Kelsey 67.1.73, Kelsey 67.1.74, Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl.
