Notlar Ms. codex., Title supplied by cataloguer., Incipit: "حمد مطلق یگانه بحقی را نرا و در حوز است ...", Dedication: As appears in chrysographed statement in opening matter on fol.3a, dedicated to Muḥammad Shāh Qājār (r.1834-1848)., Collation: ii, 3 I (6), 6 IV(54), 2 I(58), IV (66), IV+I+1 (77), ii ; chiefly quaternions ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during cataloguing., Layout: Varies considerably., Script: Shikastah-nastaʻlīq ; fine Persianate hand ; compact and freely ligatured with effect of words descending to baseline, pointing in distinct dots, elongation of horizontal strokes and sweeping descenders (many reversed or recurved) ; siyāq / siyāqat used in tables and inventories., Decoration: Illuminated headpiece and marginal decoration at opening ; gold frames surround written area (often divided to two columns) and define any columns within ; tables and numeric diagrams / calculations ; keywords and headings rubricated ; three fine painted illustrations (see p.13, 113, 137)., Support: non-European (likely Persian) laid paper with roughly 9 laid lines per cm.
