Notlar Title from colophon (p.[6)]., Layout: 17 lines per page., Collation: Almost exclusively binions ; opening folios of each bifolio signed in Western and Hindu-Arabic numerals just below lower outer corner of frame on recto ; pagination in Hindu-Arabic numerals., Decoration: Ornamented double-page opening includes engraved architectural and floral motifs and borders ; main text framed in stamped floral borders ; verse dividers in the form of rosettes., Binding: Pasteboards faced in once colored paper with dark brown leather over spine and board corners (three-quarter binding) ; Type III binding (without flap) ; board linings in light blue European laid paper ; spine lining in striped textile ; sewn in cream thread, mainly four stations ; worked chevron endbands in golden and blue thread ; overall in somewhat poor condition with lifting and losses of leather, minor pest damage, abrasion, started with folios protruding beyond the fore edge., Origin: Printed by the "Asiatic" (Aziatskai͡a) printing house in Kazan in 1835, several years after its transfer to the university in 1829., Support: European (Russian) laid paper with 10 laid lines per cm. (horizontal), chain lines spaced 25 mm. apart (vertical), and watermark of arms / scrollwork / crest with bear holding axe over shoulder at center and crown above (see p.12, 150, etc.) and countermark of letters Я Б М Я (see p.8, 10, 52, etc.) cf. Klepikov 1978 nos. 1031-1037 and bear motif no.12 on p.236 ff. ; striking light blue color.
Örnek Metin Printed on the margins are notes addressing variant readings (qirāʼāt), verse divisions, markers for prostration, commentary on the text (chiefly excerpts from "Gharīb al-Qurʼān lil-ʻAzīzī" i.e. Nuzhat al-qulūb of Abī Bakr Muḥammad ibn ʻUzayr al-Sijistānī cf. p.3, 8, 18, 24, etc.) and rare elucidation in Persian (see p.13). Concludes with listing of ajzāʼ and chapter (sūrah) headings alongside page numbers of their respective openings, as well as table of errata.
