Polychrome illuminated headpiece (f. 3v) at the top of the beginning of sūrat al-Baqarah with the text of the full opening on cloudbands with gold, foliate marginal fill (f. 3v-4r). Surah headings in gold; gold roundels mark verse endings,, Script: Written in naskh in black ink; pointed, vocalized., Layout: Written in 12 long lines; catchwords every verso, lower left; border-ruled., Foliation: Modern foliation added in pencil, upper left recto; catchwords every verso, lower left. Hindu-Arabic numeral folio numbers added in ink, upper center recto with sūrah header and juzʼ number on upper right verso.
