(horizontal, somewhat distinct, curving) and no chain lines plainly visible, thin and crisp though sturdy, well-burnished, beige to light brown in color ; inner back flyleaf in a European laid paper with scrollwork watermark (compare Heawood no.3748) partially visible ; replacement leaves and added / outer flyleaves in buff wove paper ; staining and tide lines., Binding: Boards covered in dark red-brown leather with spine now in brown leather (rebacked) ; Type III binding (without flap) ; doublures in dark red leather ; upper and lower covers carry gold painted rule borders ; spine gold-stamped with title "KALIMĀT | E | TAYYIBĀT | - |MS" ; now sewn in white thread over four recessed cords ; overall in fairly good condition with some abrasion, staining, minor pest damage, positive draw in boards (warped around the text block), etc. ; repaired (rebacked, replacement leaves, etc.) and rebound., Former shelfmark: Mich.
