Nuttall (1875-1943), former librarian of the John Rylands Library and University of Manitoba (from 1917-1937) known to have collected Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Hindu books and manuscripts, as well as Oriental rugs ; records are sparse but it appears that the acquisition took place prior to 1968.
