Notlar Ms. fragment., Title supplied by cataloguer., Incipit: "هلك ليس له ولد وله اخت فلها نصف ما ترك ...", Collation: Single folio ; catchword visible., Layout: Written in 17 lines per page., Script: Maghribī script ; typical sweeping curves and distinctive pointing., Decoration: Polychrome with inks of red, orange-red, blue, dark green, and yellow used for headings and vocalization -- hamzat al-qaṭʻ in yellow and hamzat al-waṣl in dark green., Support: Hand laid watermarked paper with 8 laid lines per cm (vertical) and chain lines (horizontal) space 28-30 mm apart ; watermark partially visible at the fold / gutter but indistinct., Former shelfmark: Kelsey 67.1.66, Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl. Ms. 1075, Origin: Hand, ornament, paper, etc would suggest North Africa, perhaps late 18th century., In the ninth line down, a curved line in blue points to the margin where the copyist has entered a correction supplying text that was unintentionally omitted. Gifted in 1967 by Dr. Alexander Grant Ruthven (1882-1971) who served as the University of Michigan's seventh president from 1929 to 1951. Likely collected in Egypt by his son Peter (Alexander Peter Ruthven 1912-1965). Transferred to the Rare Book Room from the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology in 1981.
Örnek Metin Isolated fragment from a manuscript copy of the Qurʼān, consisting of one single folio carrying Sūrat al-Nisāʼ (4) verse 176 and Sūrat al-Māʼidah (5) verse 6 (ends in second to last word).
