Notlar Ms. codex., Title from inscription in hand of copyist on 'title page' (p.1)., Incipit: "الحمد لله العلي الجليل القادر الواحد الاحد الفرد الصمد القاهر ... احمده على نعمه المتزائدة الغزائر ... وبعد فهذا مختصر اذكر فيه ما قرأت به من رواية الامام عبد الله الدمشقي ابن عامر من روايتي هشام وابن ذكوان عنه بواسطة اصحابهما ...", Explicit: "ولم يسهلوها او يبدلوها حرف بل كما فعلوا في الذكرين ونحوه [؟] والحمد لله وحده", Collation: 6 V(60), VI (72), 4 V(112), IV (120), V (130), VI (142), 2 V(162), IV (170), 3 V(200), V+1 (211), V (221) ; chiefly quinions ; catchwords present ; pagination in pencil, Western numerals, supplied during digitization., Layout: Written in 19 lines per page., Script: Naskh ; an angular Egyptian [?] or 'Syrian' hand in a medium to bold line ; serifless with dramatic effect of tilt to the right, elongation of horizontal strokes, occasional effect of words descending to baseline, mainly rectilinear descenders, pointing in strokes rather than distinct dots, kāf mashkūlah (mashqūqah) preferred, some free assimilation of letters., Decoration: Keywords and section headings rubricated., Support: European laid paper of two main types ; main type with 10 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 37 mm. apart (horizontal), and large bunch of grapes watermark (noose on stem, drop-shaped berries, see p.8, 13, 28, etc.), thin and transluscent though sturdy, dark cream to beige in color, quite well-burnished ; another type with 11 laid lines per cm.
