Notlar Ms. fragment., Title supplied by cataloguer., Incipit: "التي هي بحق ارملة وحيده فان رجاها الله وحده وهي التي تدمن الصلوات والطلباة في الليل والنهار فاما التي تشتغل باللهو فقد ماتت وهي حية فامر هذه الطبقة ان تكون بلا لوم ولا عيب", Collation: Two isolated folios ; catchwords present, close to inner margin just below final line., Layout: Written in 9 lines per page., Script: Naskh ; large, spacious Egyptian hand in a medium line ; casually pointed in distinct dots ; ihmāl signs over sīn ; tāʼ marbūṭah and dhāl almost always unpointed ; thāʼ often pointed as tāʼ ; alif maqṣūrah pointed as yāʼ ; large open counters for ṣād, ṭāʼetc as well as medial hāʼ, final hāʼ, and even m̄m ; foot of lām rounded with pronounced curve ; kāf mabsūṭah preferred ; point of final or free-standing nūn often set down in angled bowl, sometimes tall, sometimes squat ; lām alif muḥaqqaqah angled to the right., Decoration: Headings rubricated ; textual dividers in for the form of four dots in a cross / rhomboid shape., Support: Hand laid paper with 7-8 laid lines per cm (vertical), chain lines space 31-32 mm apart (horizontal), and watermark of "A R C" (visible in 67.1.69)., Former shelfmark: Kelsey 67.1.69 and Kelsey 67.1.72, Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl. Ms. 1078, Origin: Paper suggests 19th century ; text, hand, and provenance suggest Egypt., Gifted in 1967 by Dr. Alexander Grant Ruthven (1882-1971) who served as the University of Michigan's seventh president from 1929 to 1951. Likely collected in Egypt by his son Peter (Alexander Peter Ruthven 1912-1965). Transferred to the Rare Book Room from the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology in 1981.
