Notlar Ms. fragment., Title supplied by cataloguer., Incipit: [75002] "گردان ترکان بر آمد شکست یکی خسته کشته یکی بسته دست کسي کو سر از جنگ برتافتي چو افراسياب آگهي يافتي [بريدي] بجنجر سرش را ز تن جز از خاک و ريگش نبودي کفن چنين تا سپهر و زمين تار شد فراوان ز ترکان گرفتار شد ...", Collation: Two isolated folios ; catchwords present., Layout: Written in 21 lines per page ; written area divided to four columns ; frame-ruled., Script: Nastaʻlīq ; graceful hand, characteristically serifless with effect of words descending to baseline ; elongation and contrasting thickness of horizontal strokes ; pointing mainly in distinct dots ; point of final nūn set just above or at opening of wide, tall, angled bowl., Decoration: Illuminated with gold-painted swirling floral designs on the margins ; frames in gold, red, and blue rules ; section headings chrysographed., Support: Persianate hand laid paper ; written area of one type -- roughly 8 laid lines per cm (horizontal) with no chain lines visible -- mounted in frame of another type with 8-9 laid lines per cm (horizontal), appearance of curvature, no chain lines visible., Former shelfmark: Inscriptions in pencil "75002" and "75003", Shelfmark: Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, Special Collections Research Center, Isl. Ms. 1073., Origin: Undated, though hand, etc suggest Iranian production, perhaps mid to late 17th century.
