Thick dark cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 296 is a later addition on European paper. Marginal annotations. Verses of poetry and inscriptions (partly illegible) on fol. 1a. The text has been collated (see collation note, fol. 295a and fol. 296a). Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starts with 1 on fol. 2). The text is followed on fol. 295b-296b by a text on talismans(?), and on fol. 296b by several short prayers, including a prayer attributed to ʻĀʼīsah (Duʻā-ʼi ʻĀʼīshah) and a prayer attributed to Daniel (Duʻāʼ Danyāl)Copy completed on a Saturday in Rabīʻ al-Awwal 863(?) by Muḥammad Ibn Aḥmad al-MRJādī, for (bi-rasm) al-Ṣadr al-ajall al-karīm al-muḥtaram al-Shaykh Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn al-ḥājj ʻAbd Allāh, known as al-Aṣfar (or Aṣghar) --- (obliterated) (colophon, fol. 295a).Incipit: الحمد لله الذي شرف نوع الانسان بالاصغرين القلب واللسان ... وبعد فهذا كتاب لم يسالنى احد تصنيفه ولا كلفت القريحة تاليفهExplicit: ومن ههنا قيل لعلي امير النحل هذا ما انتهى اليه الغرض مما يحصل به في هذا الشان الاكتفا [295أ] وختم بملك النحل الذي استخرج الله من لعابه الشمع والعسل وجعل احدهما ضيا والاخر شفا وابتدى بملك الوحش الذي منه الشجاعة تقتفى وحسبنا الله وكفي وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد واله وصحبه وسلم - Modern binding.
