Notlar Ms. codex.Title from colophon (fol. 176b in the modern foliation).Physical description: 17 lines per page. Written in medium small taʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Subject headings on the margins in green, red, and black ink. Thick friable beige paper with pulp and laid lines visible ; fibers visible on the surface. Interlinear and marginal annotations. A few slips of paper with annotations are placed between the original leaves. Fol. 1 and 179 (176 in the modern foliation) consist of a later leaf pasted on the recto and the verso respectively of an original leaf. Edges of most leaves damaged.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Ṣ(?) tā 15". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 1343".Origin: Copied by Muḥammad al-ṬNṬī (colophon, fol. 176b in the modern foliation). Apparently from the same group as the manuscripts from Imām Shamīl's entourage in Daghestan.Incipit: ربنا افرغ علينا صبرا وثبّت اقدامنا نحمدك يا من بيدك الخير والجود وليس فى الحقيقة غيره بموجود ... اما بعد فيقول المولى المعظّم والامام الاعظم العالم الفاضل الكامل قدوة المحققين وافضل المدققين فخر الملة والدين احمد بن الحسين الچارپردى لا زالت شمول جلاله مصونة عن الكسوف وبدور بهائه محروسة عن الخسوفExplicit: بمعناها فى الغاية والانتهاء والله اعلم بالصواب واليه المرجع والماب ونسأله العفو والغفران انه عفوّ غفّور وللاجابة جدير [--] تم شرح الشافية - Soft dark brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. Gilt decoration on both covers. Marbled paper pastedowns and free endpaper. - Commentary on al-Shāfiyah, a treatise on grammar by ʻUthmān ibn ʻUmar Ibn al-Ḥājib (d. 646/1249).
