Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red for the commented text ; headings in gold (blue on fol. 259b) ; gold circular text-stops on fol. 1b. Thin dark cream paper with pulp and laid lines visible. The text is framed in gold, black and blue. Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in blue, red, white , and gold on fol. 1b. Decoration in blue on the margin of the colophon (fol. 417b in the foliation in red ink). The text is partially vocalized. Ḥāshiyah (some attributed to Saʻdī Efendi) and corrections on the margin. Small piece of paper with inscription in Ottoman Turkish between fol. 154 and 155. Ḥāshiyah on a piece of paper placed between fol. 194 and 195, 203 and 204. Foliation in red ink using Arabic numerals (omits the first fol.). Lower margin worm-eaten. Last six leaves stained.Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Tuesday 17 [Dhū] al-Qaʻdah 963 [Sept. 22, 1556] (fol. 417b).Incipit: الحمد لله الذي نزّل الفرقان على عبده ليكون للعالمين نذيرا ... اما بعد فان اعظم العلوم مقدارا وارفعها شرفا ومنارا علم التفسير الذي هو رئيس العلوم الدينية ورأسها ومبنى قواعد الشرع واساسهاExplicit: من الجنة والناس بيان للسواس او للذي او متعلق يتوسوس اي يوسوس فى صدورهم ... فكانما قرا الكتب التى انزلها الله تعالى والله سبحانه وتعالي اعلم بالصواب واليه المرجع والماب وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم سيد الاحباب ورسول رب الارباب سيدنا محمد الذي اوتى الحكمة وفضل الخطاب وعلى اله صلاة وسلاما دايمين متلازمين الي اخر الاحقاب امين امين امين امين - Badly damaged binding with flap, in dark brown leather with stamping and tooling.
