Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in gold, red, blue, and pink on fol. 1b. The text is framed within a single magenta line (gold and black frame on fol. 1b-2a). Verses of poetry in Persian at the end of the text. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Ḥadīth thānī 178". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 684".Incipit: الحمد لله الذي بعث على راس كل ماية سنة من يجدد لهذه الامة امر دينها ... هذا كتاب اودعت فيه من الكلم النبوية الوفا ومن الحكم المصطفوية صنوفاExplicit: ولا يستعيذ من شيء الا اعاذه الله منه ت هق عن ابي هريرة وقد تم كتاب الجامع الصغير من حديث البشير النذير بحمد الله تعالى وعونه وحسن توفيقه وصلوات الله ... والحمد لله لاب العالمين قال مؤلفه رحمه الله تعالى فرغت من تاليفه يوم الاثنين ثامن عشر من شهر ربيع الاول سنة سبع و تسعماية - Dark brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. The covers have an outer border made of gilt fillets surrounding a large gold tooled s-shape running pattern, with small rosettes on the middle of each border. The fore-edge flap has a gold tooled decoartion with fillets and rosettes. Dark yellow paper pastedowns. - Elegant copy of a collection of ḥadīth.
