Notlar Ms. codex.Title from inscription on fol. 1a.15 lines per page. Written in a distinct medium small naskh leaning to the left in black ink with use of red. On fol. 2b-3a, the text is framed within red and black ink lines. European glazed paper with watermark. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Copied in the first decade of Muḥarram 1067 by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Ṣafadī, imām of the mosque of Darwīsh Pāshā in Damascus (colophon, fol. 207a).Incipit: الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة ... وبعد فقج وقفت على كتاب شيخنا ... المسمى بتحفة العباد ... ورايته كتابا جامعا عمدة لطالب هذه الطريقةExplicit: وقال الترمذي هذا حديث حسن غريب هذا اخر ما اردت تلخيصه من هذا الكتاب العظيم قال مولفه ... وكان فراغي من كتابة هذه النسخة من مسودتها في يوم الاربعا ثالث عشر شوال ... سنة اثنين وستين و ثمانماية - Upper and lower covers and envelope flap made of brown leather over paper pasteboards. Outer frame of fillets and blind tooled central mandorla on both covers. Same frame on the envelope flap, with a smaller blind tooled stamp on its pointe. - Anonymous abridgment completed on 3 Shawwāl 862 (see end of the text, fol. 207a) of Tuḥfat al-ʻibād by ʻAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr ibn Dāwūd al-Ṣāliḥī (d. 856/1452).
