Written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red. Interlinear and marginal annotations, apparently by the same hand as the main text. These ḥāshiyah continue after the end of the text on fol. 36a-37b. European paper with watermark. At the end of the volume, addition of a later double page with notes on grammatical matters (fol. 38-39).Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Adabiyāt 80". Inscription in Arabic numerals on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "1585".Origin: According to the colophon, copy completed in Shaʻbān 1268 [May-June 1852] in qariyat al-KNāQh(?) by Muḥammad ibn al-Marsūl ibn Khiḍr al-Bushrawī (fol. 36a).Incipit: الهمّ انّا نحمدك على ما اسبلت من جلابيب كرمك ... وبعد فقد اشار اليّ ولي من اولياء الله امره قلادة الرقابExplicit: وقد حان اوان المسير والله ولي التيسير فتأهى وهبى فانّى ذاهب الى ربي والحمد لله ربى والصلوة على رسولى - Quarter bound in red leather and marbled paper. Paper pastedowns. - Moral treatise, being an imitation of Abū al-Qāsim al-Zamakhsharī's Aṭwāq al-dhahab (GAL), with important ḥāshiyah.
