Plain leather doublure. The envelope flap is made of golden brown leather over paper pasteboard, with an elaborate frame consisting of blind tooled fillets and a running pattern made of impressions of a small stamp. The corners of the central panel are outlined by blind fillets and filled with a gold tooled motif. A gold fillet outlines the central panel, left untooled except for a central teardrop motif pointing towards the left, consisting of a central cross outlined in gold on a red ground, with several outlines in gold and green(?). Embossed leather doublure. Fore-edge flap repaired. - Collection of ḥadīths.
