Written in small naskh in black ink, with use of magenta for the commented text and for important words such as "in qulta", qultu", etc. The text is framed within a single red line (large gold line outlined in black on the two first pages of the text, fol. 2b-3a). Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in gold and watercolors on fol. 2b. European paper with watermark. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Inscriptions in Ottoman Turkish on fol. 1a-b.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Tafsīr 42". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the the upper cover: "Ḥ 727".Incipit: عمّ يتسالون عن النباء العظيم الذي هم فيه مختلفون ... وجعلنا الليل لباسًا وجعنا النهار معاشًا عمّ اصله عمّا على انّه حرف جرّ دخل على ما الاستفهامية وهو فى قراءة عكرمة وعيسى بنExplicit: لقد انزلت على سورتان ما انزل مثلهما وانك لن تقراء سورتين احبّ ولا ارضى عند الله منهما وهذا اخر التفسير والحمد لله على التيسير قال الشيخ الامام رضى الله وانا اعوذ بهما وبجميع كلمات الله الكاملة التامة ... [74أ] ... على رؤس الاشهاد ومحلنى دار المقامة من فضله الواسع طوله وسمابغ نوله انه هو الجواد الكريم الرؤف الرحيم تم وبالخير عمّ - Quarter bound with flap in yellow paper and red leather.
