Illuminated title page (ʻunwān) in orange, blue, grey and green (fol. 7a). Illuminated headpiece in blue, orange, white and silver on fol. 7b. Glazed European paper. Two inscriptions in Arabic on fol. 7a, one an ownership statement. Before the first original fol. are 6 leaves of another type of European glazed paper with watermark, with verses of poetry in ḥāʼ on fol. 2a-b. 6 blank leaves of the same paper after the end of the text. Inscription in red pencil in Arabic script on fol. 1a: "Raqm 98 ʻayn".Copy completed on Friday the last night (salkh) of Muḥarram 1088 [March 1677] (colophon, fol. 190b).Incipit: الحمد لله الذى شرح صدورنا بالاسلام وطرح عنا بالاستغفار اعبا الاثام ... Upper and lower covers have a rectangular panel consisting of blind tooled fillets and a thick s-shape running pattern inscribed within a similar outer frame.
