Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red for headings and entries. The text is vocalized. Thin friable light cream paper, with regular laid lines and a few chain lines visible. Fol. 3-6 are later replacements. Marginal annotations. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a, including a fāʾidah and ownership statements Thread division markers. Quaternions. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals. Worm-eaten ; stained with dampness ; two first leaves extremely fragile.Origin: According to colophon, copied by ...?, and completed on a Thursday in Jumādá al-Ūlá 732(?) [1332] (fol. 125b; a note by a later hand on the right margin of the colophon mentions the date 739 [1338]).Incipit: بسم ... احمد الله على ان خول جزيل الطول وسدد الاصابة فى الفعل والقول ... فهذا ما سبق به الوضع من تهذيب مصنفى المترجم بالمعرب وتنميقه وترتيبهExplicit: لما وقع فى الكتب من التحريف والتصحيف فاقلنى عثرتى واستر عورتى وآمن روعتى برحمتك يا رحيم يا كريم - Quarterbound with flap in yellow paper and golden brown leather.
