Title appears on the lower edge.Collation: Paper ; fol. 102 + iv ; catchwords ; foliation in ink using Hindu-Arabic numerals ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 25-26 lines per page ; ruled.Description: Verses in red and commentary in black ; overlining in red ; watermarks (three crescents) ; MS in good condition.Origin: According to colophon copied Friday 14 Shawwāl 1178 by Surūr (fol. 101b).Incipit: بسم الله ... يا من اطلع في سماء بيانه بديع البراعةColophon: تم تحرير هذه النسخة على يدي العبد الفقير الراجي رحمة ربه العالي سرور تابع علي افندي الشرواني غفر الله لمواليه واليه واحسن اليهما واليه ضحوة يوم الجمعة لاربع عشر ليلة مضت من شوال من سنة 1178 - Contemporaneous type III (without flap) binding in light brown leather. Foil-stamped mandorla and corner decorations. Blind-tooled edging. Possibly a type II binding which is lacking its flap. - A commentary on the verses of poetry quoted or referred to in al-Muṭawwal and al-Mukhtaṣar, the long and short commentaries of ʻUmar al-Taftāzānī on Talkhīṣ al-Miftāḥ.
