Notlar Ms. codex.Title from inscription on fol. 1b. The name of the author appears at the end of the text (fol. 150b).Physical description: 23 lines per page. Written in medium large nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for entries. Very thin dark cream paper, with regular laid lines visible. Fol. 36 is a later addition (European paper), with copy of a portion of the text wanting in the original copy. Majority of quaternions. Stained with humidity (text hardly legible on some leaves).Long note dated 1233 H. on fol. 1a, mentioning the collation of this copy with other copies, with seal.Collation: Paper, fol. 151 ; 1-4⁸ 5⁸ (+ 1, fol. 36) 6-18⁸ 19⁸ (-2 at end of quire) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Wednesday last night (salkh) of Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1233 [1818] or 1223 [1809] (fol. 150b).Incipit: بسم ... وعليك ---؟ فى التتميم يا كريم وفوق كل ذي علم عليم حمدا لعلام اجدي على ذوي الافهام بحقيق دقايق اللغات العربية وشكرا لوهاب ابدي على اولي الالباب ... وبعد فيقول العبد الفقير المحتاج الى الله الباري (القوي) محمد ابن يوسف الطبيب الهروي لما كان علم الطب اشد مما يحتاج اليه الطالبون اشتغالا لكونه وسيلة الى الصحة المبتنية عليها العباداتExplicit: كه اكثر حكما منسوب اند بدان موضع ودر هيچ زمينى ديكر مثل ايشان پيدا نشده تمت شد بتوفيق او سبحانه وتعالى تم تمت تمام شد قال المصنف - Brown leather over paper pasteboards. Central blind stamped scalloped mandorla with pendants on the vertical axis (almost on the edge of the cover). Grid on the upper cover; concentric circles on the lower cover. Khaki paper pastedowns. - Lexicon of medical terms, in Arabic and Persian. According to the end of this copy, the author completed his work on the last night (salkh) of Rajab 938 [1532].
