Written in a medium sized taʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Text is written in two columns inside a single line frame in red ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper. A short inscription on fol. 1a in a later hand.Incipit: بعد حمد خدا والنعت نبى ملحمه نظمنك بودر سببيExplicit: خط سنك هم قلم سنك يا رب نه يازرسك كرم سنك يا رب - Red leather over pasteboard with envelope flap. Blind tooled panel design on covers made with blind guilloche, four foliage corner pieces and blind stamped mandorlas with pendants in the centre. Blind guilloche and a small blind stamped medallion on envelope flap. Pastedowns in cream paper. Lining to the envelope flap in marbled paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in red leather. - Versified treatise on prognostics based on meteorological phenomena throughout the year, based, according to the start of the text, on Yazıcı Salahuddin's Şemsiyye. The date of the composition of the work is given in the chronogram at end of the introductory section as 1045/1635-36 (see Rieu ref. below).
