Text framed in gold. Top of leaf 1 has been cut away where there was likely an illuminated unvan and has been replaced with machine-made paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Some staining, smudging and tears; mild insect damage and mildewing.Origin: End of Rabīʻ II 1016 H [August 1607], by Ramazan bin Abdülmennan eş-şehir Kethüda-yı Cenderecizade Mehmet Efendi (leaf 123a).Incipit: الحمد لله على الطاقة السنية * والصلوة على نبيه خير البرية * امام الانام همام الكرام * عليه الصلوة عليه السلام - Full brown leather with flap; blind-stamped central mandorla and gold-stamped fillets. - General history to 974 H, with special treatment of the Ottoman Dynasty.
