Pages bordered by fine double ruled lines in black. Text area framed in ruled gilt lines. Text of poems divided into four columns by fine vertical gilt lines. Prose sections set off by transverse gilt lines. Headings and key words in red ink. First two pages illuminated. ʻUnwān in blue, red, and gold ink. Geometric and floral motifs. Margins have polychrome floral motif with gold vines and leaves. Text is in clouds against a gilt background. Catchwords. In upper left hand corners, in red, are the names of the poets covered in that section. No annotations.Paper is glazed, laid stock. Pervasive water stain in gutter at foot. Some foxing at outer edges. Water damage to some leaves affecting text. Paper repairs to some leaves.Binding is leather and paper over boards. Spine and cover corners and brown leather spine have blind stamped gilt devices: six bands of alternating floriated crosses and circles with diamond-shaped geometric designs in the intervening spaces. Covers are blue abstract zig-zag strokes and circles against a red background.
