Foliation in Arabic numerals in red ink starts on fol. 4a. Cover label: Merhum Hamza Efendinin Bey ve şira risalesi dir, Ḥasan Jāhid ibn Hājjī Muḥammad. - Tarikatçı Emir's commentary on Hamza Efendi's Risālah fī ḥaqq al-bayʻ wa-al-shirāʼ, a treatise on trade in Islam. According to the text, the commentary was completed on the 5th of Rajab 1129 (15th of June 1717) -- see explicit (fol. 147b). According to a marginal note on the same fol., he began the work on the 13th of Ramaḍān 1126 (22nd of September 1713). The main text ends on fol. 147b, and is followed by a bibliographical note on ff. 148b-150a, written by Tarikatçı Emir after the completion of the main text, dated (in red ink) in the margin of fol. 150a, 1133 (1720 or 21). Another marginal note at the end of the main text on fol. 147b (in red ink) states that the work was completed on 26th of August, the 6th of Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1133 (1721), apparently referring to the date when both the main work and the bibliographic note which follows it were completed.
