Written in medium large naskh (professional hand) in black ink (faded to brown), with use of red for headings and entries. Cream paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines visible. Ḥāshiyah on the margins and between the lines on the main text. Table of contents and several inscriptions, including ownership statements and verses of poetry in Ottoman Turkish, on fol. 1b-2a. Wear ; first leaves stained ; margins worm-eaten ; fragile.Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Wednesday 10 Ramaḍān 762 [July 14, 1361] by Nāsiḥ ibn Kūnaj al-Aqsarāʼī(?) (fol. 149a).Incipit: الحمد لله محي الرمم ومجرى القلم وذارى الامم وبارى النسم ... قال الملتجى الى حرم الله تعالى الحسن ابن محمد بن الحسين الصغاني نبّهه الله ... [3أ] ... اما بعد فاني مذ تدرّجت مراقى الشرف وتحرّجت من مساقى السرف عطوت بشناتر العزم على اعراف المجدExplicit: ق ابن عمر لبيك اللهم لبيك لبيك لا شريك لك لبيك ان الحمد والنعمة لك والملك لا شريك لك لبيك كان يلبي بهذه التلبية فى حجه وعمرته م انس لبيك عمرة وحجًا تم الكتاب المترجم بمشارق الانوار النبوية فى صحاح الاخبار المصطفوية - Red-brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, with large central blind-stamped lobed mandorla. Edges and spine repaired. Modern paper pastedown and free endpaper. - Neat copy of a collection of traditions from Bukhārī and Muslim, along with traditions from the Kitāb al-Shihāb by al-Quḍāʻī (d. 454/1062) and from the Kitāb al-Najm by al-Uqlīshī (d. 550/1155) (GAL). The text is followed on fol. 149b-151a by three short texts, one unidentified, the others excerpted from Sharḥ Majd al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī al-Fīrūzābādī and from the Tafsir̄ al-kabīr respectively, and by verses of poetry (11 lines) on fol. 151b.
